  1. Main thing we need to work on is eliminating unnecessary words. That can be fixed by using active voice. For example, your first lead would read better like this: As a result of phenomenal test scores, RHHS will begin an open lunch policy. On March 15th, the policy takes action for all students except freshmen.

    Also, the word “allegations” has a negative connotation. Try a more positive word.

    I think if we keep working, you will be an excellent UIL writer.
