The climate in the South Texas Plains ecoregion is dry and very hot.  The wildlife in this region consists of  Prairie dogs, coyotes, hawks, javelina hogs, and jack rabbits. There is Mesquite, hackberry, pecan, yucca, and persimmon grown in these plains. A fact about South Texas Plains: San Antonio is the biggest attraction in the region with its Riverwalk, Six Flags Texas, Sea World, and the Alamo.
